Our World Turned
Upside Down
In February 2012, our lives changed forever when Mark was diagnosed with stage 4b metastatic melanoma. The prognosis was dire—tumors in his liver, lungs, right ventricle of his heart, and muscle tissue throughout his body. We didn’t expect him to live more than a few months.
10 more years
Thanks to incredible oncologists and groundbreaking life-saving treatments, Mark lived a productive and active life for a full decade—until February 2022. His journey was a testament to the advancements in cancer treatment and the power of hope.
A Beacon of Hope
Mark’s oncologist, Dr. Matthew Taylor, was conducting research on a promising therapy that Mark believed could have extended his life or even cured his cancer if it had been available. Mark was passionate about supporting Dr. Taylor’s efforts to make this drug accessible to others seeking more time or a cure.
Continuing Mark’s Legacy
